I’ll just start by assuming the conclusion: Dual-Weapon Attack should die. I’m not saying it doesn’t serve a purpose, but I think Dual-Weapon Attack should be relegated to a special case of Rapid Strike, rather than a separate thing. What you say? Let’s look at DWA vs Rapid Strike, and see what gives. First something…
Continuing the play report for the Skull and Shackles game, as always GM’d by +Jeromy French , with +Matt Sutton (Malgrim) , +kung fu hillbilly (Alejandro) , +Joshua Taylor (Gimbal) as my (Pel) more-or-less trusty allies. Hey, we’re pirates, trust is a guideline, not a rule. Play started with us waking up to find one of our new crewmembers missing from the ship, but clearly bad…
A repetitive but useful introduction: In previous posts I talked about grappling from the perspective of someone totally unfamiliar with the concept and application. I proposed what is effectively a loose four-step model. Like all models, it’s wrong, but hopefully useful ( “All models are wrong; some are useful.” G. E. P. Box). The steps (and the…
Every Pyramid issue contains an installment from +David Pulver, in the column entitled Eidetic Memory. Despite being the author of such books as Vehicles and Spaceships, David’s gaming interests are wide and eclectic, and since he has to write to each issue’s theme, I very much get the feeling that he lets himself play with each…

can't wait for this one!
I hope you have something to contribute, fellow blogger!
No need for a full on blog post to answer this one: The answer is to bravely run away!
"How to flee like Sir Robin and not get eaten from behind" is your assignment, should you choose to accept it. If you have a blog, send me the link. If you don't, send me the post and I'll host it. 🙂
Nuke em from orbit, that's the only way to be sure. But if you lack a nuke then a flashbang may be just as good. Just don't let them win the initiative and don't let them survive the first round. But should they survive, make sure you have a load of lead flying their way so they don't dare raise their head from that hole the ducked it in to save their life and then quickly bring in the artillery on them.
That's pretty much my approach. A fair fight is what you say you had when you're in the bar afterwards.
