Nordvorn: All I could hope for

Over at Don’t Forget Your Boots, mshrm continues to exceed my expectations on taking the plot seeds and adventures from my Nordlond setting and running them downfield.

The Citadel at Nordvorn is one of my favorite books. It’s got a huge helping of plot seeds, but done in a way that’s completely up to the players how they interact with them. There are “quests,” but those can be approached from many avenues. There are many folks pressured by high-octane events happening with and without their knowledge, and all of that could be brought to bear. The relationship map found near the end of the book allows the GM to understand that if the players help Faction A, that Factions B and C will want to kill ’em for it, and Faction D (who hates Faction B) can use that as an opportunity to make mischief.

You have to watch for them, because the “page 2” used to hide spoilers is subtle enough I didn’t see it the first time:

But if you can find it, there’s some amazing play reports.

Here’s the intro page to Session 11, which contains Spoiler Warnings and an overview of what’s gone past.

Here’s the Session 11 actual play report

And the sequel, Session 11 part 2.

Really good stuff.
