Idle conversation on the Discord chat about a full-auto .50 BMG rifle (as opposed to a machinegun) led to the comment that for sufficiently strong and large races or creatures, they really should be kitted out with battle rifles in sufficiently impressive calibers. I mean, why wouldn’t a large-enough race make a rifle capable of…
After the discussion on how to kill someone dead in GURPS with firearms (which really does devolve to shoot ’em a lot in places that matter, more or less like real life), a few commenters noted that “dead in one turn” isn’t really where it’s at. +Peter V. Dell’Orto has noted before that dying, in GURPS, is…
I have now finished all 39 subclasses for Dragon Heresy. Thusly, I will drink wine. Afterwards, I will soldier on and work on the 57,136-word spell list, since every spell in the SRD5.1, plus a few I and my playtesting team have invented, must be scrubbed to be consistent with the new rules concepts. But…
After my first two interviews, I tried to branch out. I contacted +Fred Hicks, to talk about FATE Core and its success – and he referred me to +Leonard Balsera, who was the design lead on the project. I gratefully accepted, and when Leonard returned from a busy convention schedule, we set up some time…
Apologies for the hiatus. Things have been a bit nutso recently. What I can say: I’m working on three secret projects. They are all pretty cool. I still have roughly a half-dozen articles in the theoretical Pyramid queue, including some of what I think is my best work to date. Technical Grappling, High-Tech, and Martial…
This week saw a lot of forward movement on the big three from last time. Delvers to Grow funded! That’s the good news. The not-so-good news is that the KS is on track to be one of the lowest adopted by backer count of any Dungeon Fantasy RPG project to date. For the best recruiting…

can't wait for this one!
I hope you have something to contribute, fellow blogger!
No need for a full on blog post to answer this one: The answer is to bravely run away!
"How to flee like Sir Robin and not get eaten from behind" is your assignment, should you choose to accept it. If you have a blog, send me the link. If you don't, send me the post and I'll host it. 🙂
Nuke em from orbit, that's the only way to be sure. But if you lack a nuke then a flashbang may be just as good. Just don't let them win the initiative and don't let them survive the first round. But should they survive, make sure you have a load of lead flying their way so they don't dare raise their head from that hole the ducked it in to save their life and then quickly bring in the artillery on them.
That's pretty much my approach. A fair fight is what you say you had when you're in the bar afterwards.
