Celebrate GURPS’ 20th Anniversary with Warlock Knight!
The GURPS 20th Anniversary Sale ends today … but the awesome material keeps coming in, as Gaming Ballistic launches Warlock Knight on Kickstarter.
Warlock Knight is a licensed, third-party programmed solitaire adventure for the Dungeon Fantasy RPG, Powered by GURPS. It is designed to serve as an introductory adventure, with characters starting at 150 points and growing through the adventure to approach the usual starting 250 points as presented in the Dungeon Fantasy RPG Box Set. Warlock Knight can be played with or without a GM and is extendable into an ongoing campaign. The core pledge comes with oodles of digital extras: maps, tokens, GURPS Character Sheet files, and a PDF of Quick-Reference cards for every PC, NPC, and monster in the adventure.
Much like Saethor’s Bane before it, it supports and extends the Delvers to Grow modular character generation model. With it, you can create new characters in 30 minutes or less, even for brand-new players. The hardest part of point-buy character generation can be getting to the table, and between a ready-to-go solo adventure and Delvers to Grow, you can be there in less than an hour.
The campaign launched August 29th (today!) at 10am Central Time, and runs through Saturday, September 14.
It achieved its funding goal in 10 minutes. It is a full-color adventure that is twice as long as Saethor’s Bane by paragraph count. So much so that it is going to ship in two lay-flat, stapled volumes for ease of use at a table.
