In a very short time, Gaming Ballistic will be launching a crowdfunding effort for four solo adventures. Yes, if you’re one of my long-time backers, you’ve seen them before as products for The Fantasy Trip. But this time, they’re being configured for Old-School Essentials: Classic Fantasy.
I’m doing this with no small amount of collaboration with Gavin, the Necrotic Gnome himself. He’s done me the courtesy of allowing me to sell PDF copies of his 288-page Rules Tome as a “Starter Pack” in the upcoming Kickstarter. I’m also working with Exalted Funeral to try and lay hands on some hardcopies…but all things OSE have been selling like hotcakes and they’re really hard to come by.
Please do me (and Gavin!) the favor of sharing this far and wide, and if old-style DnD action a la the Basic and Expert sets is of interest…

If you are familiar with the Choose Your Own Adventure stories, released by Bantam Books between 1979-1998, these have a similar flavor. You won’t need a referee, you follow the branching pathways as you make choices and resolve outcomes using the Old-School Essentials rules.
