Warlock Knight Funded in 22 Minutes

Well. That was fast!

Thanks to a healthy contribution from an early Give Me Everything pledge, Warlock Knight funded almost instantly. And despite some up and down in terms of large individual pledges, we are currently doing pretty well, with over 100 backers here in the first six hours, and folks only just now starting to get back to work.

As I noted in the campaign, we’re really ahead of the game in terms of putting the book together. I have started to receive some final artwork, and I thought I’d share some.

Here’s a bog mummy – a real thing – brought to life on a spread by Rick Troula, who also did the excellent cover.

Two of our three heroes, Moray and Lance, in a medium Work in Progress state, by Piotr Jamroz.

And the captain, first mate, and a pair of sailors from a ship. Maybe it’s in the adventure. Maybe not.

(OK, they’re in there, with a ship. I mean, it’s right there in the campaign blurb…)

I think the art team is really delivering well, and I can’t wait to assemble the entire document. A lot of these guys will really only be seen in full glory in the card deck – not all the characters have space in the manuscript itself. But that’s one of the great things about the Deck of Destiny NPC/PC/Monster cards … they allow really giving each actor in an adventure room to breathe.

So, if you’re already on board, and helped push Warlock Knight to a healthy start … thank you!

If you’re not on board yet … well, jump on! It’s a really fun romp David has written for us.
