Ballistic’s Report for Two Weeks Ending Aug 20

I managed to miss last week, but there was a lot of bel0w-the-waterline stuff that wasn’t terribly exciting. That being said, there were some fairly important milestones met over the past two weeks, so here we go.

  • Delvers to Grow books are all out the door
  • Got a full outline approved for a new systemless project on alehouses, taverns, and inns
  • Tower of the Moon is very nearly ready to launch; I hope to do it direct through Backerkit Launch at the end of August.
  • Delvers to Grow is now available for sale on my website, and I have revised my retail product catalog accordingly

Gaming Ballistic Patreon

To help with ongoing funding of art and speed eventual time to delivery, Gaming Ballistic started a Patreon in January 2021. Here’s the weekly update on Patreon status.

  • Membership status: 52 patrons and $353 per month.
  • Special Content: Nothing new since Aug 6.

Patron ranks remained steady.

Currently Manufacturing/Fulfilling/Shipping

Project where hardcopies and PDFs are going out or scheduled to do so.

  • Delvers to Grow: All PDFs delivered. All domestic packages mailed. All international packages either mailed (Canada, Australia, New Zealand) or on their way to Kixto in two heavy boxes.

Crowdfunding

Delvers to Grow (Launched Friday May 7 at 10am Central Time, Ended May 25 at 9pm Central)

  • Pre-orders are now closed
  • Campaign is now complete.
  • Surveys that were not filled out were cancelled. All backers with filled-out surveys have been fulfilled (though they may not have packages in hand yet).
  • Time to look at the post-mortem.

Product Announcements

The full Product Catalog got revised to account for the ready availability of Delvers to Grow. The Omnibus was removed as a special order option, as the printing has already happened.

My SJGames project: GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Encounters 4: Ring Fort was released to backers as part of the GURPS 2021 PDF Challenge! Peter Dell’Orto liked it. Mailanka liked it a lot but is – in general – disappointed with its classification as a Dungeon Fantasy product, and with the overall length of the PDF challenge entries in general.

The Delvers to Grow books are now available for sale on the Gaming Ballistic web store.

  • Delvers to Grow: Core Book in Printand PDF
  • Delvers to Grow: Strong Delvers in Printand PDF
  • Delvers to Grow: Fast Delvers in Printand PDF
  • Delvers to Grow: Smart Delvers in Printand PDF
  • The Crypt of Krysuvik in Printand PDF
  • Delvers to Grow: Omnibus Edition in Printonly

In Development

Writing and content creation for announced projects. Some of this may be cryptic.

  • Tower of the Moon, by David Pulver. Maps and art are nearing completion. There is some work on the cover, and a bit of interior tweaking, then this will be ready. The vector will be Backerkit Launch, bypassing Kickstarter completely.

Friction

Bits of news and items that put a monkey in the wrench.

  • Last two weeks saw a lull in my creative process
  • Saw my finances lower than what I wanted…but then I realized that almost 100% of that was due to paying for Tower of the Moon in advance. Accounting for that…I’m right where I need to be.

Fair Winds

Information about things that move GB forward.

  • Nice to have Delvers to Grow done.
  • The “hey, there are only 20 copies of the Omnibus remaining” saw me get something like $400 in sales in a day. That was very helpful.
  • I’m excited and hopeful about Tower of the Moon. I hope to see that launch in 10 days or so.
