Let’s Get This Started Again: Mission X updates coming soon

Hey everyone, just wanted to drop a note so you know Mission X is still very much alive and making good, steady progress.

As both the publisher and a longtime GURPS fan, I’m having a blast working on this. GURPS is still the best modern-action engine out there, and Mission X will be my love letter to that system, the genre, and to all of us who love running competent operators in dangerous situations.

The last few months have seen major work across the board.

The character chapters have been reorganized and rewritten, and the core engine has undergone extensive revision—including a full rewrite of the combat chapter and a lot of hard effort on Pursuits and Long Actions (think high-stakes chases).

The skills list has been consolidated down to roughly 65–70 focused, clustered abilities, and everything is being tuned to make this powerful engine significantly more approachable—the same “10–15 minutes from concept to rolling dice” feeling we successfully delivered with Delvers to Grow in the Dungeon Fantasy RPG.

Gaming Ballistic is also keeping a laser-designator focused on gear, with some great work by everyone’s favorite tech crunch author next in line for revision and editing after the MX core is matured.

No firm launch date yet—we’re not rushing this. As always, the book won’t go live until it’s fully written, playtested, and ready. We serve no alien fries before their time.

I’ll keep posting periodic updates as more pieces come together. Thanks for your patience and continued interest—this one is going to be worth the wait.
